Terms of Service and End-User Licence Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Modular MMORPG game (iOS, Android, PC) and the modularmmorpg.com website (the "Service"), provided by {{LEGAL_NAME}} ("Asmir", "we"). By installing the game, creating an account or playing, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Licence

Subject to these terms we grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the game on your own devices for personal, non-commercial purposes. All content including the game, servers, characters, graphics, sounds, text and software belongs to Asmir or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or decompile the game, run private servers or create derivative works.

2. Account rules

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under 18 you must be playing with the permission of a parent or guardian.
  • Your registration details must be accurate and current. Accounts are personal; they may not be sold, transferred, shared or rented.
  • You are responsible for the security of your password and your Sign in with Apple identity. Any action taken with your account is deemed to be taken by you. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.
  • Creating a new account to replace one closed for cheating, botting or other violations is prohibited.

3. Code of conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and may lead to permanent account closure:

  • Cheating and automation: cheat software, bots, macros, packet editing, modifying game files or client–server traffic, exploiting bugs.
  • Real-money trading (RMT): buying or selling accounts, characters, items or in-game currency outside the game for real money or any other value, or advertising such trades.
  • Harassment and hate: insults, threats, sexual content, discrimination, disclosure of personal information (doxxing), stalking and bullying.
  • Scams and impersonation: deceiving players, impersonating staff (GMs / administrators), phishing links.
  • Spam and advertising: flooding channels with repeated messages, advertising third-party services.
  • Harming the Service: attacking servers, exploiting security flaws, deliberately disrupting other players' game.
  • Violating any applicable law.

4. User content and chat

You are responsible for character and clan names, chat messages and any other content you create in the game ("User Content"). User Content must not infringe the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, personality rights) and must follow the rules in section 3. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use User Content to operate and promote the Service. Chat messages are kept for a limited time for moderation; see the Privacy Policy for details. We reserve the right to rename inappropriate names and remove content.

5. Moderation, reporting and blocking

  • You can report a player from the chat menu, the target panel or with the /report <name> command; recent messages are attached to the report as evidence.
  • You can block players who bother you; a blocked player's messages will not reach you.
  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours at the latest. If a violation is found we may issue a warning, a temporary mute, or a temporary or permanent account closure. Deliberately false reports are themselves a violation.

6. Virtual items and currencies

In-game items, currencies, characters and other virtual elements belong to Asmir; you receive only a limited licence to use them within the game. Virtual items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, cannot be transferred outside the Service and are lost when the account is closed or the Service ends. There are currently no in-app purchases; when they are added, purchases will be subject to the rules of the respective store (App Store, Google Play) and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We reserve the right to change, re-price or remove virtual items for game balance.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Display → DELETE ACCOUNT) or by e-mail; see Account deletion. We may suspend or close your account for a breach of these terms, where required by law, or when the Service is discontinued. We reserve the right to discontinue the Service entirely with reasonable notice. On termination your licence ends and you lose access to virtual items.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure; maintenance, updates and technical problems may make the Service temporarily unavailable and game data may (exceptionally) be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asmir is not liable for loss of profit, loss of data or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for the Service in the last 12 months. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this section.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you open the game. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of {{COUNTRY}}; the courts of {{COUNTRY}} have jurisdiction over disputes. Consumers resident in the European Union keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer-protection rules and courts of their own country. On Apple devices, Apple is not a party to this agreement but may enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary; Apple has no maintenance, warranty or support obligations.
